Palestinian Authority security forces are effective
Looks like the paalestinians are living up to their side of the bargain... Could we really see an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

JERUSALEM -- Palestinian Authority security forces have foiled just as many terror attacks as Israelis, an Israeli intelligence officer told a Knesset committee Tuesday.
Testifying before the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Brig. Gen. Yossi Kuperwasser, the head of the research division of Israel Defense Forces intelligence, praised the PA, saying it had "prevented no fewer attacks than the Israeli security services," Haaretz reports.
The BBC said the effort by the Palestinian forces comes as part of moves by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to rein in militant groups. However, Kuperwasser did not indicate whether he was referring to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip or both.
Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing disengagement, Israel handed over security responsibility for the West Bank town of Tul Karem to the Palestinians Monday night. Around 8 p.m., armed Palestinian police began patrolling the streets. Tul Karem is the second West Bank town to be handed over. Last week, the Palestinian Authority assumed security control in Jericho.
